Registered Agent:
- Receive in September the annual update form from the Illinois Secretary of State.

Resolutions:
- this position traditionally has been invoked at the end of the annual fall conference with little or no duties throughout the rest of the year;
- ask local host(s), president(s), and vice president(s) to keep track of names (and mailing addresses!) of people involved in making the fall conference happen and obtain this list at some point before the banquet at the annual conference;
- announce the resolutions at the banquet to publicly recognize all who have had a hand in making the conference possible (should be the resolutions chair and not a round-robin of general members standing to make personal ‘thank you’s; if anyone needs to be thanked, their name/accomplishment should be given to resolutions chair);
- after the conference, using previous years’ resolutions as a model, write the resolutions for the annual conference;
- snail mail the resolutions to each person mentioned therein;
- send receipts (for postage, envelopes, resume/invitation paper) to treasurer for reimbursement;
Nominating Committee:
- This committee made up of the three most recent Presidents Emeriti is responsible for preparing a slate of candidates for the offices of President, Vice-President, Secretary, and Treasurer every two years ( i.e. in even numbered years). When there have been Co-Presidents, the committee will be enlarged to four or more members. If a vacancy should occur in any of the named offices in between the regularly scheduled elections, the Nominating Committee can assist the Advisory Council in finding a candidate to fill the vacancy. The member with the most seniority serves as chairman.
Awards Committee:
- Disseminating information regarding deadlines and types of awards to the Illinois Classics community.
- Judging applicants for the awards that the organization presents both yearly and occasionally.
